Volunteer Hours

Did you know that St. Peter families contributed over 900 hours of volunteer service in 2023 not including Director hours or coaching hours?  With approximately 110 families part of the SPAC membership, we need each family to contribute at least 10 hrs each on average!

 

2024 VOLUNTEER & DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS:

St. Peter Athletic Club is one of the best baseball/softball organizations in the area.  Our club is completely run and reliant on member volunteers to fulfill a set amount of volunteer hours each year.  

SPAC requires all families to fulfill volunteer hours and surrender a check at uniform pick-up.  The check will either be returned or disposed of at the end of the season on one condition.

  •  Applicable volunteer hours completed.

VOLUNTEER & DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS

  • Rookies thru Graders, and Girls Softball
    • 10 volunteer hours for 1 player families.
    • 14 volunteer hours for 2+ player families.
    • A $400 deposit is required before any uniform will be handed out.
  • Tee Ball and Beginner Only
    • 6 volunteer hours for families with Tee Ball and Beginner only players.
    • A $200 deposit is required.
  • Families with Tee Ball/Beginner(s) AND player(s) in Rookies thru Graders, and Girls Softball are required to fulfill the volunteer and deposit requirements for a  2+ player family as described above.
  • SPAC Directors are exempt from deposit & additional volunteer hours
  • Head Coaches are exempt from additional volunteer hours, but required to pay applicable deposits.

Welcome to our Volunteer Site.

St. Peter Athletic Club is one of the best baseball/softball organizations around.  Our club is completely run and reliant on member volunteers to fulfill a set amount of volunteer hours each year.



There are many ways to volunteer ~ For example:

  • Spring Clean Up (April  ~ 8 am - 12 pm)
    • Help w/ yard & diamond pick-up
    • Clean out garages, concessions, bathrooms
    • Put up netting
    • Clean tables & recycling area
    • Paint as Needed
  • Fall Clean Up (Sept)
    • Help w/ yard & diamond pick-up
    • Clean out garages, concessions, bathrooms
    • Take down netting
    • Clean tables & recycling area
  • Concessions
    • Prepare, Serve & Sell Food
    • Restock cooler & condiments
    • Clean-up concessions & bathrooms
  • Grounds Crew
    • Weed around flower beds and fence lines
    • Place mulch in designated areas
    • Clean garbage/recycling area
    • Help w/ field prep and maintenance
  • Booster Day (Saturday, June)
  • Youth Tournaments (May-July)
  • Men's Tournament (Aug )
  • Executive Directors
    • President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary
  • Board of Directors
    • Directors are divided up into 3-4 teams and rotate every 3-4 weeks to run concessions and ensure club/grounds cleanliness
    • Directors will also aide in the decision making for the overall success of the club
    • Many Directors also will chair various committees
      • Grounds & Field Crew
      • Booster Day / Raffles
      • Apparel / Merchandise
      • Volunteering
      • Web Page & Registration
      • Equipment & Uniforms
      • Sponsors
      • Concessions Inventory
  • Committee Co-Chair
    • Assist a Director in one of the above committees

As you can see there are countless opportunities to choose from and we help make every effort to work with your busy schedules.

Volunteers are able to sign up using the DIBS function of Sports Engine. Click on the DIBS tab at the far right of the main home page to find current volunteer opportunities.
